About Us

Purple Rainbow is the place where all the awareness and fundraising activities for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Seth Goodburn are collated and it also features the Purple Rainbow Support Group that helps people affected by pancreatic cancer across Staffordshire.

There are also sections that explain the work with the Hospice UK, Pancreatic Cancer UK, St Giles Hospice, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and NHS England raising awareness about death and dying. It features the play, the film and the educational package Homeward Bound which is based on Seth’s and Lesley’s story and is a play and a film about love, relationships, empathy and compassion at end of life, which can be used to help people consider person centred care and for healthcare professionals to reflect on their own personal practice.

Why Support Us

At Purple Rainbow we are raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer and supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK) with much needed funds.

Your support in sponsoring the fundraising activities, buying the Emma Bridgewater Limited Edition Pancreatic Cancer UK mug or coming along to ball will raise much needed funds to help PCUK.

  1. Improve the experience of people and their families when diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
  2. Invest in research to help find treatments and cures
  3. Campaign to raise the profile of the disease to get the awareness and support needed to defeat this disease.

Your support in raising awareness of Dying Matters the need to have conversations about death and dying, advanced care planning wills and organ donation will help to normalise death in a society where it has become ever more medicalised and remote.
