Dr Suzy Lishman is a consultant histopathologist at Peterborough City Hospital and the immediate past president of the Royal College of Pathologists. She is Clinical Lead in Peterborough and has a particular interest in colorectal pathology and cancer screening. Suzy has many years’ experience of raising awareness of the vital role of pathology in healthcare, developing National Pathology Week and International Pathology Day to encourage colleagues around the world to open the doors of their labs to the public. She has delivered hundreds of events herself, the most popular of which is the ‘virtual autopsy’. Suzy has also contributed to many television and radio programmes. She was awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours List 2018 for services to pathology.
